write a reply that interacts with your classmate’s thread and presents a well-reasoned alternative

Reply: After reading your classmates’ threads, choose one to which you will respond, then write a reply that interacts with your classmate’s thread and presents a well-reasoned alternative to the metaethicthat your classmate is advocating. You do not have to defend a position that is diametrically opposed to your classmate’s position, but you do need to critically evaluate your classmate’s position in a way that points out strengths and possible weaknesses.

The goal of this is to help your classmate to improve his or her theory, so make your criticisms constructive. Be charitable – don’t assume that your classmate is making stupid mistakes, but instead where multiple interpretations are possible, assume that you classmate meant whichever interpretation would make more sense. However, don’t hesitate to point out disputable assumptions, faulty arguments, and alternative possibilities if you are convinced that they exist. In short, criticize politely. If possible, you must reply to a classmate to whom no one else has yet replied. Treat your classmate’s opinion with sensitivity and respect.

This is a university-level writing assignment. Therefore it must be carefully proofread, free of grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. Do not use slang, emoticons, or abbreviations as if you are texting or sending an email to a friend.

Your reply must be 500–600 words. You will be penalized for falling short or exceeding the word count. Any quotes or information used from sources other than yourself (including your classmate’s thread) must be cited using footnotes in current Turabian and will not count towards the total word count. Please see the attached Rubric

Metaethics is the study of ethics. If one were to adopt an ethical theory would they derive their theory from ethic theories of the past? Inadvertently, the philosophical ethics which have been studied thus far are formed from short biblical extracts. Such as, Aristotle’s Golden Mean or living a virtuous life is biblical however, the Bible communicates no one is perfect. (Romans 3:23, KJV.) Duty Ethics which is similar to the Golden Rule. (Matt. 7:12, KJV.) The Divine Command Theory rationalizes following God’s commandments.  The reason philosopher’s have without intention formed principles which include biblical thought is humans are born with a moral compass, a standard for right and wrong, because they are made in God’s image. (Genesis 1:26-27, KJV.) Jones references, “the ultimate reality is God and His actions.” (2017, p. 104.) Human’s reality is living in God’s creation formed by His actions but gifted with the ability and responsibility of free choice. (Gen. 2:16-17, KJV.) The only way humans can be truly moral is by believing in the Lord (Gen. 15:6, KJV.) and asking through communication for wisdom. (James 1:5, KJV.)

The study of ethics must ask the question or moral argument, how can one know what makes an action moral or immoral? Jones answers this question with the statement, “…morality is the reflection of the holy nature of a transcendent God who himself can only be known through His self-revelation.” (2017, p.110.) Does God reveal himself?  It is found that God does reveal himself two different ways. God communicates His nature and personal qualities through creation. (Romans 1:20, KJV.)  General revelation, “the revelation of God to all people, at all times, and in all places that proves that God exists and that He is intelligent, powerful, and transcendent.” (Got Questions) God also reveals himself through miracles by communicating His, “… specific truths to specific people.” which is called special revelation.  (Jones, 2017, p. 126.) “Special revelation includes physical appearances of God, dreams, visions, the written Word of God, and most importantly—Jesus Christ.” (Got Questions) The unsurpassed form of communication on God’s part was revealing Jesus Christ.

“According to Jesus, the Old Testament was God’s specific revelation of Himself, and as such, it was only through the Old Testament that they could correctly perceive God, the world around them, and most importantly, Jesus Himself. The framework of the Old Testament was absolutely essential for understanding Jesus and His teachings. And, in turn, Jesus’ teachings, life, and death shed great light on the Old Testament.” (Powell, 2006. p. 73.)

Now that it has been proven that God does reveal himself is there another question? Science defines ethic as a set of moral principles. Does approaching ethics insist on a set of moral principles?  The Bible is not a list of rules or principles to follow hence the elimination of the Divine Command Theory. Divine Nature Theory argues that “God’s commands institutionalize and communicate the good that is part of the unchanging nature of God.” (Jones, 2017, p.104) When the Bible, Christians living word which is God breathed (II Timothy 3:16-17, KJV.) and a source of communication, does not give a specific instruction for a certain behavior or moral issue one uses the method of parallel reasoning. For instance, the Bible does not specifically reference drug abuse; however, one may be guided by the scripture of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, KJV. The Bible shares a believer’s body is the temple, naos, inner dwelling, of the Holy Spirit and one should honor God with their body. This scripture allows one to reason that abusing one’s body is not honoring to God. One must utilize their intellect and responsibility of choice to interpret the scriptures properly.  By using fundamental truth from the Bible and God’s self- revelation one forms a system of belief or a chain of reasoning. Jones defines Revelational Christian Ethic as “the best route to a satisfactory ethical system is a reasoned, intelligent study of the Bible together with philosophical ethical theory in pursuit of the goal of becoming better Christians and better people.” (2017, p. 128.)

When specific principles or parallel reasoning is not revealed then one must utilize communication of prayer. One must through prayer and supplication request the Triune hear their calling and provide discernment or direction through the Holy Spirit. In ethical terms the Holy Spirit will guide and reveal the principles on which one must live in their journey of sanctification. Therefore, Revelational Christian Ethics is the best route in terms of ethical reasoning.

My faith and personal relationship with the Triune along with the scientific and historical accuracy of the Bible is the cognitive conclusion behind my ethics choice.

Positive reposnse to this post 150 words with reference due October 18 at 10:00 am

Youth suicide is the third leading cause of death for persons between 15-24 years of age, and almost 4,600 youth deaths each year are the result of suicide for a person 10-24 years of age (Smischney, Chrisler, & Villarruel, 2014). Learning of these numbers is very discouraging considering that suicide can be prevented by recognition and implication of interventions. Adolescents may present to family, friends, or teacher’s signs of suicidal behavior such as talk of suicide, threat of suicide, or risky behavior. Sometimes the adolescent may not display warning signs before committing suicide. It is important to identify risk factors that can lead to suicide. Risk factors that contribute to suicidal ideation are biological, environmental, and psychological factors (Smischney et al., 2014).

Biological risk factors include gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. The male gender is 4 times greater to attempt suicide that results in death, whereas female adolescents experience higher rates of depression. Native American or Alaska Natives that are between the ages of 15-24 are at a 2.4 percent higher rate than the national average. Suicidal ideation is higher amongst gay and bisexual male adolescents than heterosexual male adolescents. This may due to the adolescent’s parents or friends lack of approval or support (Smischney et al., 2014).

Environmental risk factors that contribute to suicide include family stress and conflict such as divorce, death of a loved one, academic failure, and abuse. During adolescence, peer relationships greatly contribute to suicide. Adolescents who suffer from poor social skills, low self-esteem, and lack support from their peers are at greater risk for suicidal ideation (Smischney et al., 2014).

Psychological risk factors contributing to adolescent suicide include mental health problems, psychiatric disorders, poor coping skills, and substance abuse. Mental health disorders include anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia. Alcohol is often experienced with by adolescents. Female adolescents are 3 times more likely to attempt suicide and male adolescents are 17 times more likely to attempt suicide when alcohol is involved (Smischney et al., 2014).

Primary, secondary, and tertiary heath prevention measures can be taken to prevent suicide. Primary prevention can be implemented by addressing the topic of suicide with adolescents, identifying risk factors of suicide, and talking about ways to avoid risk factors that can lead to suicide. Secondary prevention can be done by addressing risk factors that the adolescent is experiencing and implementing healthy and effective interventions. This will help to reduce the chance of the adolescent following through with the act of suicide. Tertiary prevention should include providing support and resources to the adolescent, as well ensuring safety. Measures should be taken to prevent the adolescent from attempting and succeeding at suicide.

The Suicide Prevention Resource Center is a resource that provides contact information and suicide prevention plans specific for each state. This information can be accessed through the website http://www.sprc.org/states. Adolescents can also contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 24/7 by calling 1-800-273-8255, or going online to https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/. Both of these resources offer support to those who are experiencing a suicidal crisis. As a nurse if you suspect a depressed adolescent is in immediate danger of harming themselves, immediate intervention should be implemented such as ensuring the safety of the adolescent. If the nurse is physically present at the adolescent’s side, taking the adolescent to a safe environment and informing a physician is important to prevent harm or injury. If the nurse is talking with the adolescent over the phone and the adolescent is posing immediate danger to themselves, proper authorities should be notified and full detail of the adolescent’s location and situation should be provided.

Identify a test category that is relevant to your academic and professional career goals

In Unit 1, you read “The Concerns of the Profession” on pages 66–68 of your Psychological Testing and Assessment text as well as the Code. While the Code addresses the roles of test developers and test users separately, you will be following the standards for test users and, specifically, the section on selecting tests (refer page 5). There are nine elements to consider when selecting a test. You will focus on the first four of these elements for this assignment.

In your paper:

  • Identify a test category that is relevant to your academic and professional career goals. The List of Tests by Type document identifies the 10 categories you may choose from. They include (1) intelligence/cognitive abilities, (2) achievement/aptitude, (3) personality, (4) behavior, (5) adaptive behavior, (6) neuropsychological, (7) career/business/organization, (8) autism, (9) depression, and (10) preschool.
  • Select three tests from a single category using the List of Tests by Type document. (Note: If you have an interest in a particular test that is not on this list, then you may, as an option, submit a request to your instructor to include it in your first assignment with two other tests on the list in the same category. Your instructor will review it and determine if you may proceed with including that test in your assignment or recommend that you select three tests from the list.)
  • Compare and contrast these three tests according to the Code’s first four elements.
    • Access the Capella library and conduct a search. Use the MMY database to locate and read a review for each test.
    • Visit the publishers’ website for each test to obtain additional information.
    • Return to the Capella library to choose a database, for example, PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, and ERIC (education research). Search for journal articles that are relevant to the four elements and each test. (See the PSY7610 Library Search Guide, linked in the resources, for search advice. An optional worksheet is also provided to you in the resources to facilitate your research and literature review.)

Organize your paper using the following headings (please use these headings):

  1. Title page (required).
  2. Abstract (optional).
  3. Introduction.
    • Identify your particular area of specialization and career goals, and the three tests you will research and review.
  4. Element 1. “Define the purpose for testing, the content and skills to be tested, and the intended test takers” (Code, 2004, p. 5; See #1). Describe your findings for all three tests citing references. Use this section to introduce each test and report on each of the three elements: purpose, content and skills, and intended test takers.
  5. Element 2. Describe “the appropriateness of test content, skills tested, and content coverage for the intended purpose of testing” (Code, 2004, p. 5; See #2). Describe your findings for each test citing references. Use this section to report on unique comments or research that evaluate any aspects of the appropriateness of each test. There may be a wide range of facets considering appropriateness that may be unique to each particular test under consideration.
  6. Element 3. Describe “materials provided by test developers and select tests for which clear, accurate, and complete information is provided” (Code, 2004, p. 5; See #3). Describe your findings for each test, citing references. Use this section to describe either reviews or your evaluation of the materials described in the sources you locate for each test under consideration.
  7. Element 4. “Select tests through a process that includes persons with appropriate knowledge, skills, and training” (Code, 2004, p. 5; See #4). Include specific publisher information about test-user qualification (for example, Level A, B, or C; or other classification). Describe your findings for each test, citing references.
  8. Compare and contrast.
    • Compare and contrast the three tests based on these four elements (that is, 1–4).
    • Decide which test will be the focus of your course project, based on your evaluation of the three tests. Explain your choice. All future assignments will be focused only on this one test that you determine here.
  9. References (required, use current APA format and style).

You may use the Optional Research Worksheet given in the resources to complete this assignment.

Additional Requirements

Your paper should meet the following requirements:

  • References: A minimum of nine references are required for this assignment. These resources may include all of the reference sources identified in your Psychological Testing and Assessment text (pages 29–35), but must include:
    • Three MMY test reviews (one for each test).
    • Three test publisher websites (one for each test).
    • Three journal articles (one for each test).
  • Length of paper: A minimum of five pages of content, not including the title page or references (an abstract is not required).
  • APA format: Current APA format and style is required throughout. Be sure to use correct format and style for each respective type of reference, for example, Web site versus journal).

Note: The articles you need to complete this assignment should be available inside the library collection. In future courses, you may use the Capella library’s Interlibrary Loan service to obtain articles outside of the collection, but you should not have to use the service for this course. In the event that you cannot find articles covering a newer test edition, please refer to the List of Tests by Type document in the resources. Note which tests have been designated as acceptable for searching prior test editions.

Touch And NeuroFasia Processing (NFP)

Urgent Rush time sensitive

Note to writer from me: this is obviously going to have to be made up/ fiction like I/you actually performed this exercise. After studying the 2 PDF files, start with assignment please. Below in Red is the assignmentneeded to be completed.

(the 2 PDF files are attached)

After reading the article on Touch and NeuroFasia Processing (NFP) and viewing the PowerPoint Presentation on how to do NFP, try out NFP. Here are the guidelines:

Treat yourself with NFP in one of 2 ways:

Method 1: (appox. 10 hours) Choose an organ to treat. If for example you have a cough you could choose your anterior lungs. Liver is always a good choice; we could all use detoxification of our liver. Put one hand on that organ and your second hand on the first process center and hold it for at least 20-30 minutes. Then keep you first hand on the chosen organ and put second hand on the next process center and hold, continue though all process centers. You may do this over a period of days or weeks. A chart can be printed to help you keep track.

Method 2: This more efficient and only takes one hour, but requires you have 6-10 volunteers. You lie on a table and allow your volunteers to put their hands on each process center. Therefore, all process centers are connected to all process centers at the same time. Hold for one hour. Your volunteers can reposition during the hour. This way allows you to treat all organs and process centers at the same time.

Treat someone else using NFP.

After you have experienced NFP either as the person being treated or as the person giving treatment, report on the following:  *Must be at least 250 – 300 words; include 1-2 in-text citations and references.

-How did you feel about this assignment?

-If you found volunteers to either help in your treatment or to be treated by you, how did you find them?

-Why did you chose to do this assignment the way you did it?

-Please respond to at least 2 peers. I will be doing this after the submission of the discussion that you have done.

Peer responses must be 150-200 words each.

Manual therapies include, but are not limited to, chiropractic therapy, massage therapies, osteopathy, Cranial Sacral therapy, and techniques done by physical therapists and other practitioners; for example, Strain Counter Strain, Myofasia Release, Applied Kinesiology, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Reflexology, and Neuro Fasia Processing.

Manual therapies manipulate bone and soft tissue to promote healing. Manipulation as a form of treatment is an ancient healing art that has been shared across time by various cultures.

Manipulation decreases pressure in the blood vessels and nerves and improves function of the manipulated area. Each type of manipulation emphasis a part of the body.

Manipulation is currently categorized into mechanical, neurological, and physiological. For example chiropractic care is mechanical and manipulates the spine to produce effects on the nervous system. Massage therapy is also mechanical and emphasizes muscle. Cranial Sacral is neurological and manipulates the head and spinal cord. Myofacial release, Neuro Fasia Processing (NFP), and other advanced manual therapies work on soft tissue and physiological function.

Osteopathic Doctors (DOs) are license doctors and can prescribe medication. DOs take a holistic and manipulation approach to treatment. They, like all manual therapists, support the fact that if the body is structurally sound it can and will accomplish healing.

Describe “the appropriateness of test content, skills tested, and content coverage for the intended purpose of testing”
